Parents of our program participants understand the value of investing in a leadership experience with AGBU. At the same time, AGBU views parents as critical partners in ensuring participants make the most out of their program. We encourage our parents to view their enrollees as independent young adults. It is important that they are prepared by understanding the value of exploring new cultures and diverse work experiences. No two experiences are the same, and the key to a successful program is resilience and open-mindedness coupled with hard work and a sense of responsibility.
AGBU works hard to provide a safe living and working environment for all participants. Our orientation session and continued leadership trainings are designed to encourage community building and personal development. Just as we are held to a high standard of quality programming, our participants are also held to a high standard of engagement. We are mutually invested in developing responsible active citizens of the world and as such, it is important for participants to adhere to our program rules and code of conduct. Together, with this understanding, we are certain that our participants will get the most out of their program.
